I previously left a review for this business and Elvig which was kind of an up and down experience, but now I am unable to edit or delete that review. But even though we ended up having to buy a new refrigerator, Elvig did try his best to help us fix the old one and even mire impressive gave us a refund toward the labor on the repair, which he did not have to do and which certainly helped offset the cost of a new fridge. Elvig was certainly knowledgeable.

It took them all of 2 seconds to figure out what part needed to be replaced in my refrigerator. The fridge was on, but it was not cooling/freezing. They were very accommodating. He came back the next day, around 6PM, waited until I got home from work, and fixed the fridge in under 5 minutes. I got them through my AHS warranty. Would definitely work with them again.

Fast response time. With part being ordered it was all taken care of within 2 days.

I called 1st Call on the recommendation of a friend and after getting a quote from another service who wouldn't come out for three days. The woman I spoke with asked questions about my oven which wasn't heating and basically diagnosed the issue over the phone. She took the model and serial numbers, ordered the part, said it might take a couple of days. Two days later, Friday late afternoon, she called to say the part wasn't in and she didn't want me to think she'd abandoned me. Saturday she called at noon, part was in and tech could come over right away. Bill was super efficient, took about an hour, and charged less than the previous quote I had received that didn't include the part! I would call them again in a heartbeat and recommend them as well. I can't believe the negative comments are referring to the same company.

He had mine for less than a week, called me and told me it was ready for pick up. He said the problem was so small that it was free of charge. These people were a true help, never going to anyone else!!

First call appliance is absolutely awesome, Bill the owner went out of his way to get here during a snow storm. We had our dryer serviced by a different company several months ago and it hasn't worked right since that alleged repair was made and not to mention our dryer is gas and the ventilation pipe inside the dryer had been left disconnected along with the thermometer wire. Bill had everything fixed within 45 minutes and the price was unbelievably inexpensive. If anyone is looking for an honest appliance repair company don't hesitate to give first call appliance in Rockland a call, it's great to see that's there's still honest repair guys out there!!!!!!.

Walter has been keeping mine and my dad's equipment running for many years. He is one of the best repairman around very honest and always on time. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
